Daniela is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with a PhD in Animal Production/Zootechnics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), and a Master’s in Veterinary Preventive Medicine. She has over 20 years of experience in the poultry industry, specializing in commercial egg production, poultry health, biosecurity, and technical consultancy.
She worked at Elanco Animal Health (Brazil) from 2019 to 2025 as Technical Consultant for Monogastrics (Poultry), supporting layer and breeder companies across Brazil and Latin America. In this role, she managed key accounts, developed technical training programs, and led field and scientific studies to support product positioning and business development, achieving consistent commercial growth.
From 2008 to 2019, she was Technical Manager at Aviário Santo Antônio Ltda, where she oversaw health, production, and quality systems for large-scale egg and quail operations, implementing biosecurity programs and quality standards (GMP, SSOP, HACCP) that improved productivity and product quality.
She served as Technical Manager and partner at Granja São Jorge, a commercial egg farm in Minas Gerais, responsible for flock health, biosecurity, and production quality.
Daniela is the Technical Director and Board Member of Instituto Ovos Brasil and is a member of COESA–MG. She is the author of a book on egg quality and technology, has published scientific papers, and has extensive international experience in technical missions and conferences across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
She is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish, with strong expertise in poultry health management, technical leadership, and commercial production systems.
Daniela works as Global poultry consultant at Vetworks with strong focus on layer management, animal health and Latin America poultry industry.
