Dr. Miriam Alberto-Tempra

As a Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Science – major in Animal Nutrition – Dr. Alberto-Tempra is based in the Philippines and works as an independent nutrition consultant.

Personal Info

Dr. Miriam Alberto -Tempra has been serving the animal feed industry for the past 27 years as an Animal Nutritionist. She finished her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Animal Nutrition from the University of the Philippines Los Banos in 2010.

 

While taking Master’s degree in 1998, she worked as a nutritionist of a feedmill company and in 2001, Dr. Tempra functioned as technical manager for an importer company where she developed and managed feed products for monogastrics while providing technical services to farms and feedmills in the country.

 

Early 2021, she established Bright Side Consulting, a nutrition consulting firm to cater different clients from the animal feed industry. She also serves as the Global Head for Nutrition Consultancy Services of Vetworks, a global poultry consultancy company based in Europe.

 

At the moment, Dr. Tempra serves as a nutrition consultant for several commercial feedmills and poultry and swine farms all over the Philippines.

 

Miriam is an active member of the Philippine Society of Animal Nutritionists (PHILSAN) and has been the organization’s President from 2015-2017. Passionate as she is in her chosen profession, she established her own chicken layer farm in 2019 and is currently managing it.
