Swati Karki is a poultry veterinarian with expertise in animal trials, research, and product management. She has extensive experience in poultry disease management and welfare, with a strong focus on improving flock health and performance through innovative solutions. Her work encompasses key areas such as product development, necropsy, lesion scoring, vaccination, and biosecurity management for poultry. Additionally, Swati has conducted numerous field trials related to gut health management, disease prevention, and product performance evaluation.
Swati holds a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine and an MBA. Furthermore, she completed an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s degree in Human Disease Models at leading European institutions. This program provided hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, including working with animal models, imaging techniques, bioinformatics, and data analysis.
Currently enrolled in the Postgraduate course in Poultry Health Sciences at Ghent University, Swati Karki is delving deeply into various aspects of poultry health sciences. This program equips her with the knowledge, skills, and understanding required to address both global and local challenges in poultry production.
In her professional career, Swati has developed and launched several products and innovative poultry health solutions. She has also conducted numerous poultry training sessions across South Asia, evaluating the efficacy of probiotics, acidifiers, and disinfectants on poultry health and performance.
As a Global Poultry Consultant for Vetworks, Swati Karki provides training, conducts trials, and offers consultancy services to poultry farmers, enhancing poultry health and welfare. Her experience monitoring field challenges across various regions has provided a global perspective and fostered a collaborative spirit, further establishing her as a distinguished professional in poultry science and health.
